Four Brands Stylish Kids Need to Know for Summer

Let’s say you’re looking for some new-to-you brands to round out your family’s style this spring and summer. We can help! If you’re on a journey to learn and explore what’s out there—we have over 400 brands in the Kidizen marketplace at last count—you’ll love our new series featuring the hidden gems that should be in your closets.

To kick things off, we have four brands Randi, our resident expert for all things kids’ style, recommends for summer. They’re either bright and playful or offer shapes and silhouettes that were made for the sun. Check them out!

HUGO LOVES TIKI

This mama-made brand is inspired by whimsical European designs and silhouettes, like harem pants and jumpsuits. Bold graphics and colors, foreign phrases, and child-like drawings are features, so pop-art loving parents will feel right at home! Owner/designer Cheyenne Couch is a SAHM to Hugo and Roman and their business is based in Indiana.

WILDFLOWERS

Pattern lovers unite! I’m always surprised by the clever way this brand (and others like it) can put so many contrasting fabrics together, and yet they always look beautiful and complementary. Located in Colorado, Wilderflowers is a special brand on Kidizen because its inventory can only be purchased new at a designated pop-up party. Consider this an easy intro styles the brand describes as keeping “little girls happy and free.”

TAYLOR JOELLE

Everybody has called their little one “prince” or “princess” at some point (just me?) but Taylor Joelle designs clothes to actually make them feel like royalty. Headquartered in Utah by its mama founder Jenny Moyer, this brand is known for sweet pinafores, bowties, and hair bows in classic colors and floral patterns.

UMI SHOES

From baby booties to tennis shoes and summer sandals, Umi Shoes has cuteness in spades. But what’s really great about this brand made from high-quality leather and environmentally friendly dies, is that they’re guaranteed to be good for your kids’ feet. From running and exploring to skipping and climbing. We think their mantra is a good way to sum up this brand: “made to carry kids happily through as much active play as they can squeeze into the day.”
