How to Prevent Shipping Mix-Ups

The dreaded shipping mix-up. It can happen. And it is the worst! So, I’m here to share the system I use to prevent it while keeping all my orders straight and on to their (correct) new homes.

SLOW DOWN
Seems obvious, right? As busy moms we have learned to manage to get seven days worth of things done in one. But if we don’t slow down to double check the orders, it can be frustrating for the buyers who receive the wrong package and costly due to additional shipping costs.

GET ORGANIZED
I start by going down all my orders one by one, starting with the oldest one first. You can access your entire order history by going to: Me > Tapping on the Price Tag icon below your profile > Sales.

Purchase Shipping Label

REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW
Go into your first order and make sure to scroll all the way down so you know ALL of the items that need to be included in it. Package items, place in poly mailer, and seal. Weigh the package and purchase a shipping label by tapping on Purchase a Shipping Label toward the bottom of the order screen. Then write the first name of the buyer on your package and put it in the pile. I typically print all my labels at the end and I know which packages they go to since I have the name written on the outside. You will want to make the name legible if you are doing it this way. You could also print labels as you go but my printer is on a different floor than my Kidizen area and I’m staying in my room as long as I can!

RINSE AND REPEAT
Continue down your order list repeating all of the above until all of your packages are done. Then print the labels, put them on your packages, and mail those bad boys out!
